Great News! Union Budget 2022 Concentrates on Mental Health

The Finance Minister presented the much-awaited Union Budget 2022 on 1st Feb. While some found it non-satisfactory, some are greatly happy with it. Now, we are not here to discuss the positives or negatives of the budget but to highlight an exemplary part of the budget. This year, the government has promised to design an open platform for the National Digital Health Ecosystem.

For the unintended, govt. will offer digital registries of healthcare providers, a unique health identity, and universal access to health facilities. Considering the present scenario, this is, undoubtedly, a significant step by the govt.

Mental health has always been a concern, but it was after the outbreak of Corona in 2020, people started knowing its importance and gravity. As a result, almost every individual, especially working personnel, has dealt with major mental health issues in the past two years.

Not to forget, companies across India have tried their level best to engage their employees by coming up with new ideas and prioritizing employee wellness. Say, for example, an HR and payroll software company, HROne even incorporated gamification to keep their employees happy and engaged during such turbulent times.

So, there is no denying that the government’s plan to enhance its mental health services network is an excellent and appreciable initiative.

Also, we all know that the employment budget 2021 was accepted wholeheartedly as it offered employment prospects to working individuals. Likewise, the govt. has also promised to give more jobs in the subsequent five years.

So, we hope you too are equally thrilled about govt. taking a step ahead and making mental health a part of Budget 2022 highlights.

Let’s hope it cuts down the mental health concerns across our country and result in a positive change along the way.
